Jason Pugh

General Manager - East Rockingham Waste to Energy, John Laing

Jason Pugh is a true pioneer of the waste to energy industry in Australia.  Since 2010 Jason has lead New Energy Corporation to promote both gasification and moving grate waste to energy solutions.  In 2020 he moved to General Manager of East Rockingham Waste to Energy to manage the construction of the $511m project.

 

Anthony Spiteri

Senior Projects Manager, Australia & New Zealand Recycling Platform Ltd (ANZRP)

Anthony Spiteri has spent 28 years working in the civil engineering and waste and recycling sectors. After graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) Honours degree from RMIT, he has worked in the roads, landfill and waste water industries before embarking in the plastics recycling industry. His latest role has him working in Project Management with ANZRP Ltd, one of the co-regulator companies running the NTCRS national E Waste recycling scheme.

Kai Hau

General Manager, YCA Recycling

Kai Hau, General Manager of YCA Recycling, an SA family-owned recycling business established since 2009, has extensive knowledge in plastic, metal, cardboard and paper recycling, trading, and recycling management services. After starting the business with his old man in a tiny shed in Wingfield, YCA is now a major plastic recycling manufacturer in South Australia and across Australia.  Kai has recently designed and upgraded the facility from plastic baling into a local processing plant which turns material into washed clean granules ready to send to local Australian manufacturers.

Jim Fairweather

CEO, ResourceCo Group (incl. Tyrecycle)

Jim has held a variety of Sales, Marketing and General Management roles working in both mature and growth businesses and sectors over almost 30 years.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Business from University of South Australia and is currently the Chair of the Australian Tyre Recyclers Association (ATRA), President of Waste & Recycling Industry South Australia (WRISA), on the national board of The Australian Council of Recyclers (ACOR) and sits on many advisory committees to governments and regulators around Australia.

His role as Chief Executive Officer at ResourceCo, encompassing a variety of businesses across the ResourceCo Group – including Tyrecycle, places him at the forefront of the Circular Economy.  Jim has been a key figure in driving the ResourceCo business in its development in re-manufacturing of various waste streams and the development of end markets for recycled products.
